The Sierra Nevada Deep Ecology Institute recently awarded their Greeen Architect Award for 2009 to McCamant & Durrett Architects. According to the Institute, "M&D's dedication to sustainable building practices & cohousing has been an inspiration worldwide, & the local commnity has benefited greatly from their commitment to providing this service locally."
Fresno Cohousing / La Querencia has received the City's Award for Excellence as an outstanding sustainable infill project. As the first residential development to go through the Fresno Green program, the City recognized its design which playfully quotes the vernacular architecture of the region in both the residential units as well as in its community buildings. The community was designed by McCamant & Durrett Architects.
