LA QUERENCIA, located in Fresno in the Central Valley of California, is on a 2.8 acre site within walking distance of a park and retail areas and is located near an elementary school. The 28 homes are oriented along a single pedestrian pathway connecting to the Common House and other shared facilities, and is designed with a strong emphasis on environmental sensitivity. Three home sizes are available: 2 bedroom, 1 ¾ bath flats, 3 bedroom, 2 ½ bath townhouses, and 4 bedroom, 2 ¾ bath townhouses.

Extensive common facilities include children’s play areas, workshop, pool, spa, exercise facility, guest room, and a great room for community dinners and events. The common areas consist of a pool, orchards, gardens and open space. They share a view of a water basin and the Sierra mountain range beyond.

The people of La Querencia include single; married with children and without; infants; seniors; working families; and retirees who have chosen to live in a multi-generational child-friendly environment. They are enjoying living in a neighborhood of their own design.  See community movie
